PROFESSIONAL MEETING
For 10 years, the festival has opened a window dedicated to professionals of cinema (authors,
producers, directors, techniciens…) and more particularly of the short film sector. Gathered in the Nice Short Meeting, professionals and the public are invited to exchange in the framework of meetings, debates and workshops in order to address the artistic but also economic dimension of the short film : its mode of writing, production and distribution.
Script call
Travaux en cour(t)s
The Travaux en Cour(t)s workshop allows an author to have his script evaluated, by confronting it to specialists in writing and production’s vision. A call for scripts is launched every year as part of the workshop which presents itself as a chance given to 4 selected authors to pitch their scripts for 10 minutes in front of writing and production specialists, to then benefit from a 30-minute individual interview in order to be guided. One winner will be chosen among the 4 candidates and will participate in the Young Authors workshop of the festival Tous Courts of Aix-en-Provence. We have a partnership with the Film Commission of the Alpes-Maritimes Côte d’Azur.
