This year we chose a symbolic image, a held breath, an unmasked mouth, a desired immersion. The image of the 21st edition of Un Festival C’est Trop Court! narrated by Michele Ciulla, co-artist of this visual with the photographer Emanuele Faccio Gofas :
Moments of waiting, which have become years, which have become lives. A suspension full of apprehension, anguish, hopes and expectations along which we seemed doomed to hold our breath towards a vital impulse that would have led us to a newfound confidence. A new dimension, able to bring us back to what we were, a dreamlike image, the safety of the maternal womb, our coming into the world, waiting for our first breath”.

MICHELE CIULLA
Born in 1983 in Sicily, he has a long-term interest in image, drawing and photography. He studied between 2002 and 2007 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo (Italy), then at the University of Valenciennes and Hainaut-Cambrésis, where he deepened the photographic technique.
In 2010, through a European mobility, he joined the team of “Un Festival C’est Trop Court!”. There he experimented with programming and worked as a graphic designer. Installed in Sanremo since 2014, he maintains a strong link with the city of Nice. Versatile artist, his artistic practice is mainly based on photography, with which he combines drawing and painting.

EMANUELE FACCIO GOFAS
Emanuele Faccio Gofas was born in 1981 in Sanremo (Italy). Always fascinated by photography and visual arts, he pursues an atypical artistic career. After studying medical biotechnology at the University of Pavia (Italy), he enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Genoa (Italy), where he completed his training.
Inherited from his Greek grandfather, painter and photographer, his passion for photography never left him; until becoming a fundamental element in his life. Over the years, he continuously deepens his knowledge by studying history and technique, to finally succeed in experiencing it in a more conscious and aware way.
